My name is Chris Schunemann and I am a Vivation Professional.
I teach Vivation, which is a process that integrates the subconscious with the conscious experience of life. It resolves any emotion or feeling permanently, pleasurably, and quickly. It cultivates enthusiasm, alertness, and an increasingly direct connection with the imagination.
|
Consider how I experiment with my favorite activity. In this experiment I ask: “How can I enjoy this activity more than I normally do?” I answer this question by altering variables in my situation to discover which changes I enjoy.
I notice many things. I notice that taking a risk I do not normally take is more fun. I notice that doing it the way that comes most naturally to me is less tiring. I notice paying less attention to my thoughts and letting my focus bounce around my body makes it more fun. I relax by leaving my attention on what is happening right now.
|
Every time I perform this exercise in enjoyment, I always find new methods that I soon perform automatically. Eventually it occurs to me to apply these techniques to all activities I enjoy. Later I even apply them when doing things I dislike.
I find focusing on my breathing relaxes worry and impatience, relieves tension, and makes pain more bearable. I notice yielding to the natural tranquility of the feeling in my body calms my panic in urgent situations until inspiration for a solution arises.
I come to understand the fundamental essence of what actually determines how much I enjoy an experience. My newly enhanced skill of enjoyment has shifted many unpleasant feelings into experiences of growth, healing, adventure and learning. Clearly the quality of an experience depends to a large degree on how I act.
|
I usually feel how to create a positive shift in my experience before thoughts and words come to mind to describe what I am doing differently. The spirit of this exercise exists in its most advanced form in the process called Vivation. Created from the Latin word “viv” for life, to Vive means to open-heartedly acknowledge the full human experience.
With growing confidence in my indefinite ability to increase the happiness I get from any feeling, I am continuously more inclined to accept and utilize new experiences and situations. Many of these feelings seem to come from a familiar and hidden place. This place is my subconscious. In the past I often felt I would function better if I separated my awareness of certain aspects of my life from others. I stopped loving and paying attention to any sensation I deemed too painful or not useful enough.
|
As I progress with Vivation I become more intimately aware of the nature of my subconscious processes. To a large, unknown extent, the energy system of my mind and body seems to be turned against itself. Spatially I feel this in the form of excess tension in the three dimensions of my body, and I sense this conflict stretching into my mental projections as well.
Like two opposing fists of equal strength, though much energy is expended each moment, nothing is moved or accomplished. This essentially results in me hiding an entire world of feelings, thoughts, memories, and imaginings somewhere that takes up no room in my attention, and I do not normally notice it at all.
|
Vivation unlocks the powerful potential of integration. When I cease to oppose the energies of my mind and body I create the magical effect of getting something from nothing. A common theme among the performances of magicians is to establish the illusion of an absence, like an empty hat, and then to produce a rabbit that was secretly hidden there the whole time.
When I relate to my own energies more effectively than before, I enjoy the full force of those previously-opposed fists in a useful way. This is the act of integrating subconscious thought and feeling. It is a paradoxical experience of becoming stronger by relaxing.
