Naturally I ask myself: “What am I doing differently that enables me to live through all these experiences that I used to struggle with and hide from?” One thing that becomes strikingly obvious is that I have begun using what feels good from one moment to the next as a guide to success.

I have started thinking for myself, from the ground up. Instead of looking to the customs, habits, and ‘common knowledge’ of my society to tell me what my options are at any given moment, I work from a creative orientation to life. I start my thought process with what I want to achieve and let my imagination fill the gap between that point in the future and my present reality.

There is a common conventional belief that if we just did whatever we want whenever we wanted, little would get accomplished. Such a society would surely get outshined by other ‘hard-working’ cultures. According to this belief, the most productive orientation to life means setting a goal you want for yourself and then using your mind to tell you what you need to do to succeed. “No one wants to mow the lawn, but you have to keep the end result in mind to make yourself do it.”

This belief is completely paranoid about the body as well as completely inaccurate about how the body actually functions. With Vivation I discover my body and mind are two poles of a larger process, activities of my overall consciousness / awareness / experience (what many people refer to as spirit). My body is the essence of the here and now, all and everything that actually exists.

This includes how I am breathing, what I am eating, saying, seeing, and walking on. If it is happening right here, right now, it is an activity of my body. My mind is the act of imagining other times and places and making comparisons, models, and simulations that I project onto my body’s sensory experience.

Many people think they get some kind of productive edge by giving their minds more clout than their bodies. However, the mind is a tool of the body! My mind cannot guide or instruct me. People get this impression because the mind seems to have some ‘sense’ about the future, while the body’s experience makes no distinction between separate moments.

From the perspective of the mind, the body lives only in the present moment. There is no denying that all of existence is now, and nowhere else. All the laws of nature that seem to demand certain details to be true about our future still only exist right now

Where so many people fail to venture is the fact that since all of our feelings exist RIGHT NOW, our entire impression of future events is already reflecting in what we most feel like doing RIGHT NOW. We have already balanced effort against reward in choosing all the details of how we feel.

There is no need whatsoever to be ‘self-conscious’, to watch over your own shoulder to be sure you are making the best trade in sweat for success. No true satisfaction from being ‘done’ with work can ever occur until someone finally realizes and feels he or she can let go of this self-inspection once and for all. It creates no safety, security, enjoyment, or compassion.

The actions of our bodies are as much a function of the creative force of the universe as the wind, rain, ocean tides, the formation of all the complex solar systems, planets, crystals, and the original formation of what we normally call life on Earth all from clouds of hydrogen gas.

All of this complexity, variety, beauty, and order developed via this force, which really seems to be one with these natural phenomena rather than something separate moving them. We come up and of the Earth just as rivers and mountains do. A powerful wisdom flows from this observation: whatever you actually do is completely of the same essence as this magnificent and creative energy and direction.

Many people subconsciously fear death as a return to nothingness. Ironically this is where the infinite imaginative potential of the mind really takes off. There is an infinite variety of forms and activity which do not exist. Any statement you make about what does not exist is an act of imagining. A quality of nonexistence really means an essence with absolutely no restriction, meaning no limitation on which existence can come into being from nonexistence.

You disappear when you fall asleep, yet you are you just much you as were you before last night. You were just as much as you as you were you when you did everything you do not currently remember. No matter how you have transformed and grown throughout your life, and what form you take in a dream, you are always you. Nothingness is really a guarantee of infinite freedom once you develop the skill of opening your mind.

And how do you open your mind? The secret lies in the ancient wisdom of the body. Thoughts and feelings are connected. To boost the creativity and effectiveness of your mind means a simultaneous positive energy boost in your body. Since the mind is a projection and tool of the body, the body really must be the leader for anyone who uses Vivation for enhancing his or her life.

Vivation is an extremely powerful concentration of energy and technique resulting in this physical (and in turn mental and spiritual) transformation. Vivation is introduced as a demonstration of the Three Points to Remember. These are what I can say I actually do while Viving. Each embodies all of the Five Elements. Each Element is a set of exercises and knowledge grouped as a single category and part of the overall skill of Vivation. I use all three in combination or rotation each moment.
